Our Chef Steve Sprague has served as Executive Chef at Harrington Farm for the last 2 years, designing creative seasonal menus for weddings and special events.
Chef Sprague’s experience in food service spans over twenty-five years with sixteen years in culinary management positions varying from family restaurant to contemporary Italian, corporate and fine dining.
Steven’s career began in high school as a dishwasher in a local restaurant. After working his way into a cooking position, he began exploring the hospitality industry of Worcester County. Steven, a Fitchburg native, enrolled at Newbury College and The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. He eventually journeyed to South Florida to attend the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach. Steven worked skinning alligators and cooking backstage for touring musicians. He joined the American Culinary Federation’s Palm Beach County Chapter, earning several medals in culinary competitions. While employed at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club, Steven graduated among the top in his class from the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach and soon after returned to New England.
Chef Sprague is a member of the prestigious Les Amis d’Escoffier Society. Steven’s cooking demonstrations have been featured on TV Diner, Fox TV’s Saturday Morning Show, and at the Boston Flower and Garden Show.
As the former longstanding Chef of The Nashoba Valley Winery, Chef Sprague’s farm inspired creative American cuisine consistently received high acclaim. Now at Harrington Farm, Steven joins another group of award winning culinary professionals dedicated to outstanding service with style and elegance.
